I’ve been running both the Holosun EPS Carry and Trijicon RMRcc side by side on identical G48 slides for the past 6 months. Here’s my honest comparison.
Holosun EPS Carry
– Pros: Solar failsafe is a game changer for EDC, multiple reticle options, shake awake, better price (~$280)
– Cons: Larger footprint than RMRcc, glass quality is very good but not quite Trijicon level
Trijicon RMRcc
– Pros: Legendary Trijicon glass quality, compact footprint, proven track record, mil-spec toughness
– Cons: No solar, battery-only, no shake awake, significantly more expensive (~$550), only dot reticle
My verdict: For pure EDC carry where you want maximum reliability and minimum maintenance, the Holosun EPS Carry wins because of the solar failsafe. I’ve had the Holosun running for 4 months without touching the battery — it just stays powered via solar.
For someone who changes batteries on a schedule and doesn’t mind the premium, the RMRcc is still the benchmark for quality.
